Unmasking Fraud: Profiling Threats, Protecting Trust – An Exclusive AmCham India Session with KPMG
On August 1st, 2025 , the Tamil Nadu Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM) held an exclusive breakfast meeting in collaboration with KPMG , hosted at the firm’s Chennai office. The session was led by Mr. Kirit Amichandwala, Partner – Risk Advisory, KPMG , and focused on the changing landscape of corporate fraud in India. Key Findings on Fraud Trends in India The session revealed important insights from recent research on fraud profiling. One of the most striking observations was that the majority of fraudsters in India are long-serving male employees aged 26–45 , typically in non-executive management roles .
